I’m ready to build niche websites in 2026 – once again.
The last time I worked on a niche website was perhaps December 2023.
A lot has happened ever since.
AI writing tools turned up. Google fell in love with Reddit and Quora.
The rules of the SEO game have undergone significant changes.
After closing and observing the SEO landscape for almost two years, I’ve decided to get back to building niche websites in 2026.
Let’s cut to the chase.
I’m sure no one would tell you this about building niche websites – at least for free.
How I’m building niche websites in 2026
Here’s what I’ll be doing to build and grow niche websites in the future:
Experimenting with broad niches
I might double down on choosing the right niches, but I’d experiment with broad niches as well. For instance, instead of choosing a “cars” niche, I’d choose the “vehicles” niche as it includes cars, motorbikes, SUVs, scooters, etc.
Again, this is totally an experimental strategy, meaning I might only test it on a couple of projects in 2026. For the rest of the projects, I’d stick with going deep into the category and opting for a specific topic.
Utilizing Reddit and Quora for authority
I have used Quora in the past, and I know that it can drive some traffic. However, the visitors from these social media networks won’t be my focus. I’d rather build brand authority than drive random visitors that stay for 15 seconds and never return to my blog ever again.
What I mean by building authority is that I’d try to find the right audience and engage with them on these platforms without forcing them to visit my blog. Driving traffic from these platforms would be a plus.
Focusing on building social profiles
It would be unfair to completely overlook social media for driving website traffic. Therefore, I’d choose the right social media platforms to drive traffic to my blog. The right social media platform is the keyword here.
Social media platforms like Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube allow website owners to generate social media traffic for their blogs or websites. It takes an effective social media traffic strategy to pull this off. All you need is to find a pain point and package the solution creatively.
Replacing ads/affiliates with info products
One of the major shifts coming in my niche website business model is how I’ll be monetizing the sites. I have used both ads and affiliates in the past, and now I want to switch to info products.
Info products include downloadable digital products, courses, templates – anything that’s built once and sold forever. Sure, I won’t completely give up on ads or affiliates, but my priority would be my own info products.

Testing out social media ads for some sites
Besides using social media platforms for traffic, I’d like to test out social media advertising for some of the projects in 2026 and beyond.
Since getting organic traffic through SEO isn’t a piece of cake anymore, you’ve got to try out a bunch of strategies to see what works for you. Don’t be surprised if you find me running ads on Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube in the future.
Keeping an eye on the search trends
I’d surely be on the lookout for any reputable trend tools that I could get my hands on. My no. 1 trends analysis tool is hands-down Google Trends.
However, I won’t turn a blind eye to the Pinterest Trends, especially for the Pinterest-focused niche websites.
Using AI for topics and keywords research
AI has taken the world by storm – I’m sure you’ve heard this before. Hah!
I’m not a fan of AI writing tools that spit out thousands of words within a few seconds. I’d be glad to utilize AI for research purposes.
For instance, I’ll be using ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Claude to hunt for the most relevant, low-competition keywords in my niche. I’m not the biggest fan of keyword research tools, but I can’t deny the importance and effectiveness of the keyword research process.
